lol, i tried to make a cute arrow! HA!
Next, share this musing with 3 friends (via email or social media).
Donate, if you have pocket change to spare.
Consider sparing, or becoming a monthly sustainer of at least 1 LGBT advocacy organization.
I promise you as a former executive director for many years- when enough people donate $10 or $20 (even once), it helps resources for organizations who are being iced out of corporate giving and philanthropy due to ANTI-DEI sentiments.
If 20 of my subscribers donate $20, we will have raised $2,000.00 for these beautiful causes.
If 100 of you donate $100 to any on the list, we will have raised $10k!
LGBT ORGANIZATIONS TO SUPPORT
The Theater Offensive
The Theater Offensive | Performing Arts | Boston, MA
Led by visionary and performing artist Giselle Byrd, The Theater Offensive has been supporting, platforming and sustaining queer and trans artists across multiple performing arts disciplines.
Since Giselle has taken the reigns, the organization has expanded it’s residencies and paid opportunities for transgender artists of color, who often cite limited mobility in the performing arts world to gain regular work regardless of their incredible talent.
The Theater Offensive has launched a campaign to secure a permanent home and cultural preservation center in Boston’s historic queer rooted neighborhood, the Fenway.
The Theater Offensive also filed a lawsuit with the ACLU this year against The Trump Administration’s ban of “gender ideology” focused programs and organizations at the National Endowment of the Arts.
Save Our Sisters United, Inc.
Save Our Sisters United, Inc. | Direct Service & Coalition Building | Texas
Led by activist Atlantis Narcisse, who has been a “trans mother” to the city of Houston for decades, created SOSU to be an organization that responds in real-time to support trans women in times of crisis and need.
Atlantis and her team have also been in advocating tirelessly in Houston City Hall, the Texas State Capitol, at the Texas- Mexico border: providing real-time, actionable support to our most impacted folks.
Last year, international pop star Lizzo worked to platform and support the incredible programs of SOSU.
Give Us The Floor
Give Us The Floor | LGBT Youth | National
As we see the corporate giving landscape erode its support for LGBT Community Centers and suicide prevention hotlines- we will also see an increase of self harm amongst LGBT youth who have no one to turn to.
We as queer and trans youth often are the perfect target, in that we’re often isolated because of our queerness and transness.
The work of Give Us The Floor has been to create those spaces digitally- for queer youth, by queer youth. GUTF is working to eradicate the status quo challenges impacting queer and trans youth.
National Center for Lesbian Rights
National Center for Lesbian Rights | LGBT Policy | National
My dear friend Imani Rupert Gordon is leading the dream team that is fighting hundreds of anti-LGBT and anti-trans legislation to protect the constitutional rights of queer and trans people.
When bills and laws are moved forward in legislatures across the country to increase harm and exacerbate marginalization and disnefranchisement of trans and queer people- Imani and her team at NCLR are there, filing counter-suits to hold laws like these in court to ensure they don’t pass.
We need more legal resources to tackle anti-LGBT legislation that continues to grow daily.
The Transgender District
The Transgender District | Economic Justice & Cultural Preservation | San Francisco
I co-founded The Transgender District with my trans siblings in 2017, leaving my position in City Hall to come back and create and launch the organization. Every program I created at the district was inspired by my own lived experiences a homeless, trans teen in San Francisco engaged in the survival sex trades.
Eviction Prevention, Job Training, Entrepreneurship Pathways, Artistic Residencies, Guaranteed Income, Housing, and so much more.
The new leadership of the organization has had to rocky terrain as the City and County of San Francisco considers cutting 90% of the organization’s funding (among 131 other organizations as well).

As you say, there’s are organisations promoting trans and queer interests - in other words, promoting harm to gay and lesbian interests. That’s the prerogative of these organisations, but don’t lie and say they’re promoting LGB rights; queer theory and transgenderism are antithetical to LGB rights.
