Mid-Week Inspiration + Last Minute Gifts For Mother's Day
way more interesting than that email you owe to accounting department. LOL.
Hello My Lush Life darlings!
It’s Wednesday when this comes out, and it’s just a gentle reminder that I’ve shared some incredible (if I do say so myself!) think pieces + curated shopping guides lately.
Engagement on this platform has been higher than it’s ever been- over 65% of you read each piece (THANK YOU).
I’ve deleted Instagram and Facebook and LinkedIn off of my phone, in hopes to take a sabbatical from there for some time (I know, another social media break- but I miss my life without the platforms.
Since deleting, I’m back to being a bookworm and less dependent on the mindless scroll, and I thrive in these conditions).
So, you’ll hear from me here. Stay tuned.
Until then, take a peek at what’s come through lately.
We have The Semi-Annual Gift Guide, which I’m quite proud of.
Today is the last day to order your Moms and Aunties and Grannies and Sister-friends gifts to ensure on-time delivery for Mother’s Day.
k bye! - Aria

More Musings:
The hum-drum of “is your luxury designer bag that is made in italy really made in china” debacle seems to have and gone from Beyonce’s internet in fixation and focus on Beyonce’s Cowboy Carter tour, The Met Gala, and Trump’s decision to eliminate all of the National Endowment for The Arts and National Endowment for the Humanities funding.
While those are extremely urgent and deserve our attention- if you’re taking a break, I share my own story of counterfeit designer bags- and how my relationship has shifted (perhaps slightly for some, but alas!).
Also, no mention of Patrick Kelly or JIBRI as it relates to Black Dandyism, and it bothers me. I spoke at great length on Instagram about my love affair with JIBRI, and Jasmine Elder as a designer and JIBRI as a brand made me fall back in love with fashion after being a fashion school drop out who swore off fashion due to lack of accommodation.
But this musing is much more light hearted I promise!

People You Need To Know
The unofficial name of a series where I’m fortunate to highlight and introduce to some of you, some incredible folks I admire for their discipline and commitment to achieving, and their altruism.
I had a chance to catch up with Tracy Christian of Sante Grace and Collingdale City Administrator C Michael Robinson, and feel luck to have profiled them on here.

Selling My Luxury Designer Handbag + What Comes Next for Me and the launch of the “Aria” Trench at BAACAL
You know I’m hardly the best spokesperson for vulnerability, but I try. I shared my journey, and shifting my relationship with designer fashion (incredibly nuanced, but still processing) and a trench coat inspired by me, available for purchase. She’s truly a fashion girlie again.
Paid Subscribers:
The paywall kicks in 3 weeks after a musing goes live, so only paid subscribers have unfettered access to my brain. Thank you lovelies for protecting and supporting the doll!
